This is my first foray into blogging. So, we'll see how this goes! Steve Wallis (minister of Polesworth Baptist Church) and I have  been engaged in church planting since last October and we've been so thrilled with how it's going. It so brilliant to see God working in people's lives! We are meeting once a month on the first Sunday of the month in a Community centre for a service (with some folk from Polesworth Baptist Church). We are also delivering invitations to the servives in the area of the centre. A number of people from the area have begun to attend occasionally. Plus I am visiting two streets with invitations to the service, and to Table Talk.

Our aim is to establish a worshipping community of missionary disciples and there are signs of interest among a number of people that we are getting to know. Over the course of the first few months we have been building relationships with those in the streets I visit and on the estate. We've just finished our first Table Talk and will be starting Puzzling Questions and holding a second Table Talk - both in a local pub soon. We are seeing a lot of interest especially among people in their twenties. Next week we're in the pub for a meal to round off the first Table Talk

This week I met with a guy in his 20s (no Christian background as far as I can tell) who is interested in Table Talk and the monthly service. He is coming to the meal next week

God is already working in many hearts. I've done door to door visiting for years, but this is the easiest it has ever been!! I'm just visiting in two streets and spending time getting to know people. People are open to talk. We also keep in touch through texting. Steve and I have not had so much fun in years! We're both doing it in our spare time and it's just so exciting! There's such a buzz in doing this. I can't thank God enough!!
