A resource website for pioneers in new housing areas
The challenge of church planting in new housing areas is one which many churches and church leaders find hard to address. Drawing on the experience of a national network of people, Churches Together in England collated information and now host a dedicated website of resources.
- First was ‘How to engage in the Planning Process’.
- Second was ‘How to create community where there is no community’.
- Third ‘What kind of Church Plant? Stories and examples of good practice’.
This website is now populated as a data base of resources under these key headings. It is designed for anyone, across all our churches, considering the challenge, especially church leaders / planters concerned with where new housing estates are being built. Relevant for ‘add on’ estates and new towns as well, it explores various models of church planting and ‘presence’, providing examples, and resource material about how to go about the task.
