Rural Ministries is a mission support agency that seeks to enable mission, encourage leaders and plant churches in a rural context. They recognise that the challenges facing rural areas are often very different from urban or suburban situations; and are convinced that just as overseas mission agencies have developed effective strategies for their overseas work, we too need similar strategies to reach the estimated 12 million people living in a rural context in the UK.
The essence of the Christian Coalition for Urban Mission (CCFUM) is that it achieves most of its work through the activities of its member organisations.
CCFUM therefore acts as a focus for holistic, integral mission in urban areas by:
adding value to existing agencies and networks
utilising the strengths of the many sources of support
CCFUM is inclusive of all involved in, and concerned for, Urban Mission, irrespective of theological perspective, denomination, or type of organisation.
