First Church Planting 101 courses were busy! And we’re hoping for more... Last month the first CP101 events were in Bristol and Essex, UK. We had 65 people on the courses plus presenters -  Penny Marsh, Peter Dominey, Juliet Kilpin, Ali Boulton, Jenni Entrican, Mike Pears, Barney Barron and Stuart Murray-Williams.  Most who attended...

were Baptists, and we also had people from Pentecostal, Anglican, Methodist, URC and Independent churches. Some people travelled significant distances to get to these foundational days, a high percentage were ‘new faces’ to the presenting teams, and there was a mixture of experience - some already practitioners, some heading in this direction, some just interested.

It was encouraging to see two Baptist colleges and 4 Baptist Associations also sponsoring the days. The CP101 events are run under the auspices of the Crucible Course. The hope is to run further CP101 days in partnership with other Christian colleges, associations and groups next year.
