Peter Ward, Kings College, LondonKings College, London logoThe MA in Contemporary Ecclesiology at Kings College, London is to be redesigned around missional ecclesiology according to Pete Ward.

Pete said, "With the MA I have a direction for my teaching. The first module will interrogate the 'discourse' and habituated ways of talking in the Fresh/Emerging Church conversation and try to bring into this more of the research there is in empirical study of the Church, sociology of religion and theology of the Church/Mission. My basic take is that people are circulating the same theories in different forms and this could benefit by letting in some new thinking. The second module will draw on both key historical moments that have shaped ecclesiology and a number of key theologies of the Church. These will be used to enrich and deepen conversation around missional church."

Keep an eye on the Kings College website for news of this course as it is released.

Church Planters in the NetherlandsIt is very good that the EBF can represent diversity and provide opportunity for cooperation among European Baptists. Usually the heroes of IMP news are God's people from Eastern Europe but this time you can read about a new planted church in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Setting the Table (Stock)Jenni Entrican, Chair of the Incarnate Steering Group reports on a recent table gathering...

What seemed like a motley crew of folk (apologies to those there!) from two Baptist Associations  Heart of England and East Midlands (HEBA & EMBA) gathered at Somersal Cottages in Derbyshire last week (5 March 2013) turned into a really stimulating and fascinating twenty-four hours as stories were shared, prayers offered and discussion ranged back and forth.
